Question about water dispensers, hot and cold?

I was thinking of replacing my soap dispenser in my kitchen sink with a water dispenser. Now with the hot water dispensers, like the Westbrass ones, you need a tank to be installed with the water dispenser.

it has been a while since i have installed one of these, but i do think that you will have to change the cold water valve to a dual port valve. it should be half inch for the pipe that supplies the water, and then a second port that is the sixe of the supply line to the thing that you are installing. most of the time you just need two adjustable wrenches to unhook the old valve, that is if it is a compression valve. which will have a nut at the bottom of it. if it is than you can reuse the nut and ferrel (the brass ring that is compressed into the pipe) insted of cutting the pipe to install the new nut and ferrel. if it is a tredded valve than make sure that you use channel locks on the pipe its self so that you do not twist and break the pipe. as well as a wrench on the valve. some tread tape is good to use one the vavle treads to help insure there is no leaks once it is tight.
