vs kitchen Faucet granite embedded within overmounted?

I'm upgrading to granite and wondered if I use my current overmounted tap, but later decided to go undermount hole size is the same. I know that is supposed to use tap water wash, but had no money to buy a new one. Is it the same hole the size of both? I do not like to make a hole and now it will not be the right size Once I have the money to buy a new faucet installed. Thanks!

You should be able to use the old faucet granite again. There is no such thing as a sub-valve (I know). The sink, however, there is a difference. The problem is that can be mounted together in a sink faucet hole is drilled into the granite. More than a recessed vanity that fits into the same well. I think my point is, sink carved in the granite is different for the sub-assembly, is simply the size of dinner plates, where the majority of assembly is larger and includes over-hang and place the tap for.
