How I can fix a shower Faucet single control problem?
There is hot water and cold water, but the way the former owner installed on the button there is no way to mix hot and cold water for hot water. Obviously that is not installed. (Turn right is cold, turn left hot in the middle is off), I think that should come to control the flow and have some kind of dial temperature setting. Is there an easy fix or should I call a plumber?
I just replaced my shower curb this weekend. Pop the front plastic handle, you must have a single screw in the center. Remove the screw and handle plastic, and then use tongs to remove the cartridge. The cartridge is a combination of plastic, brass fittings and black rubber. Do not attempt to disassemble. You must be able to slip right back in the 90 degree turn to operate the inlet / source of water successfully. If the damage or does not help, take the whole cartridge replacement of hardware. They run about $ 10 to $ 40 may be for the unit (depending on model and if you have a brand name or off brand).
