Faucets for your Kitchen and Bath

We just remodeled our kitchen & added an expensive oiled Bronze Faucet. Is it safe for drinking water?

I never thought about it before the install, but have since read that bronze can leach lead. Please help.

The faucet should be safe for drinking water. If it were only the faucet to worry about you could run about a glass full down the drain before you drink any. Use common sense some cities have a problem with lead lines and I have some high content brass connectors on my water lines that I don’t like. If you go to reverse osmosis have a license Plummer install the system. If you don’t use the required system air gap properly you can get drain cleaner in your drinking water or at the least dish detergent. 1ppm Fluoride in our drinking water is not very welcome to some including me. I have not had a cavity worth filling in 20 years or more . Municipal water treatment has saved most of our lives.
