need to buy a new water effiency toilet does anyone have suggestions?
My home has the original toilets in them which makes them 44. It’s time to up grade even though they flush fine, But they flush using 3.5 gallons of water each time. Kohler and American Standard are the brands I was interested in. One that looks good (not a hat box) is water efficient and tall. Any one with any info I would love to hear… good and bad experiences please. thank you
Both Kohler and Am-standard make very good products….I personally think Kohler is over rated and a kind of designer name you pay extra for compared to good old Am-standard…It totally depends on what you like—go look in Home Depot or Lowe’s at the displays…I dislike the ones that use the pressure tanks, They flush like a commercial toilet-are a nightmare to repair—and if you flush while sitting on them will feel like you are getting your bottom area purged… One thing you need to check is your rough measurement—which is your finish wall to the center of your sewer line–these varied in older homes-and this may limit your choices or put you in special order zone… For ny own use—i allways pay a bit extra and buy a solid lever- i just like the feel and look compared to the flimsy plastic lever most toilets come with.
