Kohler Bidet
Do you have to use a Kohler fixture with a Kohler bidet?
I was at the plumbing store today to purchase a bidet. I picked one from Kohler and the salesperson there said that if I am purchasing a Kohler bidet I must purchase a Kohler fixture for it or else it will not fit properly and leak. This means I would have to get all the other fixtures from Kohler too so it will match. I know Kohler is a reputable company but I’m not crazy about their designs. There are tons of companies that make fixtures for bidets. I like fixtures from Sigma or Cifial better. Does anyone know if this is true??
You can sometimes mix and match manufacturers, but that is risky with a bidet. The drain and linkages are tested within the manufacturer’s line – but not accross manufacturers, unless so noted. What makes it worse is that many retail stores will not take back a bidet Faucet after it has been taken out of the package (no one wants to receive a bidet faucet that could have been installed and used)
