Mold under the sink, how much work I have to do?
A few weeks ago we realized that some of our kitchen Faucet spray leaking. What we have not noticed, is that water flowing under the sink. We went to buy a new faucet today and when we take away from the sink area, we noticed some mold. It is possible that mold is beginning before we moved in two years, as the plywood is bent and at least half of the floors and interior walls of the cabinet are in black. We raised the floor of the room (it was covered by two pieces of contact paper) to see if there was more damage and it seems that the wood / wall is rotten. We are obviously going to remove the mold, but gravity is the rotten wood? I have published two photos www.flickr.com/photos/mkw08
Take an ice pick and stab in the forest. It will penetrate the rotten part and give you an idea of the amount of solid wood is left. Act to do is replace all the rotten wood. Up is probably not solid wood, but a product manufactured / pressed. At least replace floor panels and clean the area with a sink in X-14 or bleach.
