Shower thermostat problem?

My shower Grohe began broadcasting suddnely hot water in 30 seconds to start, what temperature control is set. does not occur in the bathtub, sink, kitchen sink or Faucet in the shower which is about 5 years and never before probolem. I guess it must be a kind of internal thermostat in the shower which surrendered. Any idea how I can handle myself? Or should I call a plumber? Thanks, Raquel

Always you know the model you can go to a plumbing supply store and buy the right unit of anti-scald valve replacement. It's super easy to replace. Most require a screwdriver. You of course want to close the valve before starting.
